United Auto Credit Corporation (UACC) was established in February 1996. UACC purchases primarily non-prime retail automobile sales contracts. The company markets to franchise and independent automobile dealers whose customers have limited or impaired credit histories and generally cannot obtain financing from traditional lenders. UACC is a wholly owned subsidiary of United PanAm Financial Corporation (UPFC), a NASDAQ traded company whose stock symbol is UPFC.
